MG3 Cross - the first generation of the model, which was essentially a British Rover Streetwise, was sold exclusively in China, and the second generation of the hatchback, first introduced in 2010 at the Beijing Motor Show, began to be offered in other markets, including Britain, and since 2013 - and in Ukraine.

The five-door immediately came to us in the guise of a crossover. The features of the MG3 version in the Cross version are a slightly modified front bumper, a practical plastic body kit around the perimeter, as well as increased ground clearance. Ground clearance MG3 Cross is 164 mm.

This is where the off-road ambitions of the car end. Like the regular MG3, the Cross modification is also front-wheel drive and is essentially a B-class hatchback.

On the Ukrainian market, it is offered with a single power plant - a 1.5-liter gasoline "aspirated" (106 hp and 135 Nm). Depending on the configuration, it is aggregated with a five-speed “mechanics” (for the Standard version) or a five-speed robotic gearbox (for the Comfort and Deluxe versions).

The "base" is equipped with ABS, EBD, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), front airbags. The middle and top trims are also equipped with side and curtain airbags.

Serial production of the model is established in China.
